Learn To Downhill Ski Program

Quarry Road Ski Club’s Learn to Downhill Ski program is an introductory alpine skiing program for area youth in grades 2-8. The 7-week programs use the rope tow on the historic ski slope at Quarry Road Trails. All classes meet from 10:00am until 11:30am on Sunday mornings. There are weekly classes from early January until early March. Helmets required. Space is limited so make sure to register soon! Classes begin 1/3/27.

Fee is $65 for the 2027 season.  Program fee does not include ski equipment or rope tow season pass, which is required for all skiers ages 7 and up. Purchase your season passes here.‍ ‍

Ski lease program through Gorham Bike and Ski: A limited quantity or season long ski lease packages are available to Quarry Road Learn to Downhill Ski program participants. Visit this link to sign up and reserve your ski lease package directly after registering for the Learn to Downhill Ski program here. After you sign up for a ski package online, visit Waterville's Gorham Bike and Ski shop to get properly fitted and collect your gear. Special Club pricing available until 10/31.

Financial Aid: Central Maine skiers needing financial assistance are eligible for scholarships for the winter 2027 season thanks to support from Friends of Quarry Road.  These scholarships will cover program fees, and Quarry Road Trails season pass. Scholarships are limited.  Please apply early, the application is built into the registration page.  Scholarship applications will be reviewed as they are submitted.
