Learn To Downhill Ski Program

Quarry Road Ski Club’s Learn to Downhill Ski program is an introductory alpine skiing program for area youth in grades 4-8. The 5-week programs use the rope tow on the historic ski slope at Quarry Road Trails. This program has a Saturday and Sunday class option. All classes meet from 10:00am until 11:30am. There are two 5-week sessions during the winter. The first session runs from late-December until late-January, and the second session runs from early-February until early-March. Helmets required. Space is limited so make sure to register soon!

Fee is $65 for the 2023-24 season.  Program fee does not include ski equipment or rope tow season pass, which is required for all skiers ages 7 and up. Purchase your season passes here.

Ski lease program through Gorham Bike and Ski: A limited quantity or season long ski lease packages are available to Quarry Road Learn to Downhill Ski program participants. After you sign up for a ski package online, visit Waterville's Gorham Bike and Ski shop to get properly fitted and collect your gear!

Financial Aid: Waterville residents are eligible for financial assistance for the winter 23/24 season through the Waterville Parks and Recreation Department’s Scholarship Fund. Please complete this application and return to the Waterville Parks and Recreation Office (6 Wentworth Ct, Waterville, ME 04901). Scholarship and financial assistance opportunities are limited, so please apply early. Applications will be reviewed as they are received, and all applications are due by Dec. 1.
