Middle School Nordic Ski Team: Grades 5-8

Open to students from all area schools, grades 5-8, who are ready to commit to a more structured team atmosphere focused on building fitness and improving skills.

This is a fun racing team, but committed newcomers are welcome. It is expected that participants will come to all practices with similar expectations of attendance that you would find in other teams for athletes in this age group.

The team practices every Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 3:15pm to 4:45p.m. with a race schedule of 5-6 races TBD.  The season runs from the first week in December through Maine Junior Ski League Finals in February, with less structured continuation through March’s NENSA Bill Koch League Festival, which is encouraged for all.

Fee is $150 for the 2023-24 season.  Fees do not include season passes, which are required for all skiers ages 7 and up. Purchase your season passes here.

Financial Aid: Waterville residents are eligible for financial assistance for the winter 23/24 season through the Waterville Parks and Recreation Department’s Scholarship Fund.
